If you're considering trying CrossFit Reckoning, here are the questions we hear most often from people in Coatesville, Downingtown, West Chester, and Exton.
Where is CrossFit Reckoning located?
We're located at 199 Reeceville Road, Coatesville, PA 19320, in a converted aircraft hangar with free parking out front. We're easy to reach from US-30, and we serve members from Coatesville, Downingtown, West Chester, Exton, and the surrounding Chester County area.
What is CrossFit, and is it right for me?
CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program built around functional movements you already do every day — squatting, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying — performed at a level that matches your fitness. Every workout is scalable, meaning we adjust weights, movements, and intensity to fit you, whether you're a complete beginner or a competitive athlete. If you can move, CrossFit can work for you.
How long is a class?
Every class is 60 minutes long and led by an expert, certified coach. A typical class includes a warm-up, strength work, conditioning, accessory movements, and a cool-down. You'll walk in, get a great workout, and walk out with time to spare — even on a tight schedule.
I've never worked out before. Will I be lost?
No. Everyone starts somewhere, and we're built to meet you where you are. Our coaches scale every movement and walk you through proper technique. Most new members start with a free no-sweat intro so we can learn about your goals and answer your questions before you step on the floor for the first time.
How fast will I see results?
Results depend on consistency, nutrition, and your starting point — but most people notice they feel stronger, more energetic, and more confident within the first 2–4 weeks. Visible changes in body composition typically show up around 6–12 weeks of consistent training (3–4 classes per week).
How many days a week should I train?
We recommend starting with 3 to 4 classes per week. That's enough to build real strength and conditioning while giving your body time to recover. More isn't always better at the beginning — consistency is what drives long-term progress.
What should I wear and bring on my first day?
Wear athletic clothes you can move freely in and a pair of training sneakers (anything flat-soled works well — avoid running shoes if possible). Bring a water bottle — we have a fountain for refills. That's it.
Do you offer a free trial or intro?
Yes. Every new visitor starts with a free no-sweat intro — a casual one-on-one conversation with a coach where we tour the gym, learn about your goals, and answer your questions. Can I drop in if I'm visiting from out of town?
