CrossFit Reckoning ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you interact with our website (www.crossfitreckoning.com) or submit a form, how we use that information, and the choices you have. By using our site or submitting a form, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information you choose to share with us. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

  • Contact information you submit through forms on our website or through ads on platforms like Facebook and Instagram — including your name, email address, phone number, and any message you choose to send us.
  • Website usage information collected automatically — such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on page, and referring site. This is collected through standard analytics tools (see Section 4).

What we don't store on this website: we do not host member records, billing information, or emergency contacts on this website. Membership records, billing, and class scheduling are handled through a separate third-party gym management platform, not through www.crossfitreckoning.com.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you give us to:

  • Schedule and follow up on your free no-sweat intro or trial class
  • Respond to your questions and requests
  • Send occasional updates about gym events, programs, and announcements (you can opt out at any time)
  • Manage your membership if you join
  • Understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share information only with the service providers we need to run the gym and the website. These include:

  • Formspree — processes contact form submissions on our website and delivers them to our email.
  • Wodify — our gym management platform (separate from this website), used for memberships, billing, and class scheduling.
  • Google Analytics — provides anonymized website traffic statistics.
  • Featurable — embeds Google Reviews on our site. Featurable retrieves public review data from Google Business Profile and delivers it to your browser when you view our reviews section.
  • Behold — embeds our public Instagram feed on our website by fetching public posts from Instagram.
  • Meta (Facebook / Instagram) — if you submit a lead form through a Facebook or Instagram ad, your information is provided to us by Meta and is subject to Meta's privacy policy as well as this one.
  • Email service providers — used to send replies and any newsletter updates.

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and is contractually required to handle your information securely. We will also share information if required to do so by law (for example, in response to a valid subpoena or court order).

4. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for basic site functionality and for analytics. The main tools we use are:

  • Google Analytics — sets cookies to measure anonymized site traffic and page popularity.
  • Meta Pixel (if active) — measures the effectiveness of any ads we run on Facebook and Instagram.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser extension to block analytics trackers. Disabling cookies will not affect your ability to use the site.

5. Data Retention

We keep your contact form information only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and follow up appropriately. If you become a member, we keep your membership records for the duration of your membership and for a reasonable period after for accounting, legal, and historical purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Ask us what information we have about you
  • Request that we correct or update your information
  • Request that we delete your information (unless we are legally required to keep it, such as billing records)
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" or replying to ask us to remove you

To exercise any of these rights, email us at crossfitreckoning@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

7. Children's Privacy

Our website and forms are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security & Breach Notification

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work with reputable service providers and use industry-standard practices.

In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting the personal information of Pennsylvania residents, we will notify affected individuals in accordance with the Pennsylvania Breach of Personal Information Notification Act (73 P.S. § 2301 et seq.). Residents of other states will be notified consistent with the requirements of their state's breach notification law.

9. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act give you additional rights regarding your personal information. You have the right to:

  • Know what categories of personal information we collect and how we use it
  • Request a copy of the personal information we have about you
  • Request that we delete your personal information (subject to legal exceptions)
  • Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for targeted advertising purposes
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We do not sell your personal information for money. If we ever engage in "sharing" as defined by California law (for example, using an ad platform's tracking pixel to build advertising audiences), you may opt out by emailing us at crossfitreckoning@gmail.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share" and we will honor your request.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at crossfitreckoning@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request.

10. Other State Privacy Rights

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights (to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain uses of their personal information). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email above and we will respond consistent with your state's law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated more directly when possible (for example, by email to members).
